Health coaching works by giving you confidence, knowledge and skills to take your health into your own hands and achieve your goals. This is done through personalised lifestyle changes and positive psychology. The aim is for you to not only be healthier and happier now but learn skills to be able to use long term. There will be no extreme diets or unrealistic quick fixes here.
Nowadays, there is a lot of conflicting information out there which can be confusing. We lead very busy lives that limit the time and energy we can put into staying healthy. This is why ‘diet culture’ has been so successful at pushing its narrative promoting quick results. And on top of it all when we do end up needing the guidance, our health care system doesn’t have the time or training to appropriately guide us into making significant change.
This is where my role as a health coach comes in. I understand the disease process and the psychology that is keeping you from reaching your goals. I keep myself on the latest evidence-based reasearch so you dont have to worry if what you’re doing is the right thing. I will be your own personal guide who helps you make the changes you desire all while effortlessly fitting these around your busy life. A mentor who keeps you accountable and is your biggest cheerleader in the process.
